Agricultural University

There are four agricultural universities altogether in Tamilnadu and the one in Coimbatore is the head of all the remaining. This is also one of the finest institutions in South Asia. This adds pride to the city. First it was in Chennai, later shifted to Coimbatore as a college and finally renowned to be a great university.

VOC Park

The Corporation park is well constructed. This has some advanced features. It is named after V.O. Chidambaram who has also a freedom fighter who had his own ships. The park has a zoo and a toy train. Children amass here to enjoy these entertainments.

Forest 

College

There is one more important institution in Coimbatore which is the Forest College. This one in Coimbatore is one of the oldest in the country. The forest rangers are imparted training in this college. One should surely visit the museum in this college campus.

G.D. Naidu Industrial Exhibition

G.D. Naidu rose from a poor level to the owner of so many busses. He was a great thinker and a hard worker. This industrial exhibition was established by himself. Whatever he contributed to that of automobile, electronics, mechanical industries and agricultural sectors are preserved here.

There is a Government College of Technology, PSG College of Technology, Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Avinashilingam Deemed University for Home Science, Bharathiyar University, Karunya Institute of Technology and Government Arts College are some of the important educational Institutions.
